About the Fellowship
The African Academy for Open Source Investigation (AAOSI), led by Code for Africa (CfA), partners with newsrooms and organizations in Senegal and Cote d’Ivoire to strengthen investigative reporting. Fellows receive training in advanced forensic analysis, with a focus on social media intelligence (SOCMINT) and OSINT.
The program equips participants to detect disinformation, information manipulation, and coordinated inauthentic behavior (CIB), while also promoting public access to trustworthy information.
